The local governments around San Francisco have issued "shelter in place" rules for the city and its main suburbs. There are over 50,000 homeless people on the streets of SF. Where do they go? I don't know for sure, but my guess is that many of these people get food from some sort of community kitchen. If these are shut down because everyone is ordered to stay home, what do the homeless do? They can't go to churches; those have been closed. They can't go to schools or community buildings; those also have been closed.
It's important to remember that SF is the epicenter of "progressive" thought. Nevertheless, these same people who always claim to care for the downtrodden are quick to abandon tens of thousands of homeless to starvation at the first sign of trouble.
This is unacceptable.
