How do the Democrats keep things straight. A week ago there were eight candidates. Five dropped out and now there are two plus Tulsi Gabbard who the DNC just blocked from being in the next debate after she met the rules and qualified. One of the two is Joe Biden who a week ago was just broke and just about dead in the primaries. The other is Bernie Sanders who was an unstoppable force who was taking down the Democrats but now is a previously unstoppable force who is now just an elderly crank according to much of the Democrat media.
It's worth making a list of some of the eternal truths of a week ago that are no longer true.
One week ago Today
1. Biden called a woman a "lying dog faced 1. Shh....
pony soldier.
2. Biden's son Hunter was the poster boy for 2. Shh.....
corruption by those with connections
3. Elizabeth Warren proclaimed she was in it until 3. Warren is a victim
because she's a woman.
the convention no matter what.
4. The Democrats celebrate diversity 4. The Democrats idea of
diversity is that one
candidate is an old
white guy millionaire who
is 77 while the other is
an old white guy millionaire
who is only 78
The list could go on, but the point is that we are in completely new territory for the Democrats. The basic story of the party changed but the media and the Dems won't admit it. The rest of us remember, however. It has been quite a week.
