Obama Finally Unites Congress on the Budget -- A Bipartisan Position

Much deserved kudos go out this afternoon to president Obama for doing something that no one thought possible in an election year: Obama united Republicans and Democrats in both the House and Senate on the budget. This afternoon, the Senate voted unanimously to reject the budget proposed by Obama. Not a single senator of either party voted to support the Obama proposal. About six weeks ago, the House also voted unanimously to reject Obama's "balanced" budget proposal. This is no small accomplishment. Obama had to propose are truly awful budget in order to earn the disapproval of every single Republican and Democrat. Just imagine how bad the proposal had to be for Nancy Pelosi to vote against her president. Just think what a piece of garbage Obama had to put forward for senators like Harry Reid or Charles Schumer to vote against it. I mean, getting the opposition of the GOP could not have been that hard, but Obama must have truly sweated the details in order to get unanimous condemnation. Again, KUDOS to Obama!
