If you want a snide, nasty and vicious commentator who never fails to support her candidate, Ann Coulter is the person for you. If you read Coulter's tweets, it's easy to see that her slogan is "all Trump, all the time." Those who run against Trump are evil personified according to Coulter. Marco Rubio was a "sweaty little guy" according to Coulter, and that's one of the nicer descriptions. Ted Cruz is bought by special interests and never tells the truth in Coulter's world. And Trump, he's perfect. I won't even go back to her views on Jeb Bush or Ben Carson; you get the picture by now. Coulter doesn't disagree with the opposition; she hates it and makes that clear. That's why I find it so funny today to see Coulter's comments on a Politico story that says that the delegates being selected for the GOP convention by Indiana are supporting Cruz or someone other than Trump. Remember, those delegates will be bound by Indiana law to support the winner of the Indiana primary on the first ballot. It doesn't matter if the delegate if Cruz's wife were chosen as a delegate; she would have to support Trump were he to win the primary. But it's always been the case that once the first ballot passed, the Indiana delegates become free to choose whomever they want. Cruz and his allies have worked hard to get delegates elected who will support Cruz on the second ballot and later. Trump has made no effort at all in that regard. The result, no surprise, is that Cruz has won overwhelmingly against essentially no opposition. And Ann Coulter is outraged. The Indiana delegate selection is "rigged" according the this queen of mean. Cruz "bought" the delegates from Indiana, or so Coulter says with absolutely no evidence that anything improper happened in Indianapolis. The reality is that Coulter's favorite candidate just totally failed. You might even say that when it comes to delegate selection, Trump just doesn't ever win. After all, Indiana is not the first place where we have seen results like this. Trump is a loser when it comes to running a campaign that wins loyal delegates.
It is truly ridiculous for the Trumpsters to complain about non-existent improprieties when Trump loses yet again in delegate selection.
