The other day, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg hired a pollster and political strategist. Joel Benenson is the guy's name, and you may remember him as the pollster for Hillary Clinton's campaign as well as her chief strategist. The rumor is that Zuckerberg wants to run for president in 2020 as a Democrat.
So here's the big question: we already saw a campaign by an extremely well funded candidate with personality problems who was guided by Joel Benenson. It didn't end well for Clinton. Why would Zuckerberg seek to replicate that campaign?
To be fair, I'm just assuming Zuckerberg has personality problems from his portrayal in the movie about the founding of Facebook, "The Social Network". If he's anything like the character portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg in the movie, he seems a rather unlikely candidate for President. He may be smart, but you also have to be warm and likeable. It's not enough to have fifty billion dollars.
