Next time someone tells you that Socialism is great, remind them of this simple fact: in Venezuela, the country with the largest oil reserves in South America has completed about 15 years of Socialism. The government has just issued new currency notes including one for 100,000 bolivars (the Venezuelan currency). Each note is worth about $2.50. Simply put, all the savings and cash held by people in Venezuela is now essentially worthless.
If you add in that stores have no products on their shelves, people are starving, mortality rates are soaring and opponents of the government are routinely put in prison, you can see the true triumph of Socialism in action.
