Donald Trump has now announced that he is running for president. I did not watch the announcement, but I saw some of the highlights on video. Okay, so there really weren't any highlights. Still there were some surprises. I had expected a small car to pull up at the start and for something like twenty people dressed in clown suits to get out before the Donald finally emerged to start his speech. Somehow, his campaign missed this opportunity to emphasize the true nature of the man.
The reality is that I doubt Trump would have decided to run had George Pataki not gotten into the race. Now, there is someone that Trump can beat.
