Yesterday, I wrote about how Democrat congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota was going to avoid being named in a resolution in the House that would condemn religious bigotry. That was quite a step back for the Democrats who started with a plan to condemn Omar for her repeated anti-Semitic statements. Well now even that resolution has gone away. The Democrat leadership of the House announced that there will be no vote on any such resolution as of now. That means there won't be a vote ever.
THIS IS A DISGRACE!
Imagine what would happen were a Republican congressman to say something that sounded like support for a white supremacist group. Actually, you don't have to imagine it; Steve King of Iowa made such a statement a few months back. As a result, the Republican caucus had him censured and took away all his committee assignments. That's like being exiled. It's about as severe a punishment as can be handed out aside from expulsion from the House. (And there's no basis for such an expulsion based just upon bigoted statements.
So, on the one hand, you have the Republicans who condemned and took action against a Republican for making bigoted statements (for which he profusely apologized.) On the other hand, you have the Democrats who won't even condemn the repeated anti-Semitic statements made by one of their members. Apparently, among the Democrats, it doesn't count if you attack Jews. And it's not just House Democrats: none of the dozen Democrat presidential candidates have condemned Omar either.
What all this means is that anti-Semitism is alive and well in the Democrat party.
I repeat what I said yesterday: it's beyond me why any American Jew would ever vote for another Democrat.
