A new low

There are a lot of people in politics and the media who I do not like. Some have voices or speaking styles that are annoying; Al Gore is the best example here. Others say things that are frequently nasty; here the best example is Mr. nasty himself, Keith Olbermann (remember him?). Still others say things that are either untrue or which make no logical sense; there are so many in this group that I will let you fill in the name. There is one person, however, who fits into all three categories: Chris Matthews. He never speaks when he can shout. He never lets his guests finish a sentence. He slams people all the time for no reason. He is always partisan no matter what logic or reason requires. And today he hit a new low. Amazingly, Matthews said today that Anthony Weiner's wife may be partly responsible for Weiner's behavior. Apparently, Matthews is so used to protecting those of Weiner's ilk, that he had to throw Weiner's wife under the bus in an attempt to protect him. Weiner, of course, said at his press conference that his wife did not know until this morning that he was still sexting on the internet, but that fact does not stop Matthews. IF Olbermann were still here, he could name Matthews today's worst person in the world.
