Latest reports are that Russia may use its veto to prevent the UN Security Council from adopting a resolution condemning Syria for using deadly force on a consistent basis against protesters in that country. This pair will also vote to prevent the IAEA from calling out Syria for its nuclear weapons program that was stopped with an Israeli attack two years ago. President Obama had that famous "reset" in relations with the Russians at the start of his administration. Like nearly everything else that Obama has done, it seems not to be working.
It is sad to see the world just watch as Syrians are being slaughtered. Sad, but not surprising.
