We learn today that poor Anthony Weiner who is off seeking treatment had taken some other photos of himself at the Congressional Gym which are now on TMZ. Sadly, for Weiner, there are not treatments for being a jackass. REhab does not work if the thing that is ruined is you reputation. Sure, sometimes rehab works for celebrities who want to stay out of prison, but most of them would have avoided jail in any event. No one has ever gone to rehab and then won back the support and confidence of constituents. That is particularly true when there is no illness or addiction to be treated, just pride, arrogance and immaturity.
One thing that you do have to say for Weiner is this: he never seems to run out of new ways to embarrass himself.
