President Obama has let it be known that some time next month he plans to give a speech outlining his plan for job growth. I thought it funny that the media is calling it his "new plan", since that requires that he have an old plan. Of course, we have now gone for about two years without any plan at all from Obama. He had no plan for controlling the budget. He has no plan for the taxes that he wants. He has no plan for creating jobs. He has no plan for restoring growth to the economy. He has no plan for dealing with rising health care costs. He has no plan for dealing with foreign problems like the slaughter in Syria. He has no plan at all for anything except his re-election. An honest man would be ashamed at this point.
Of course, the president is not ashamed. Instead, he is going to give a speech, his favorite thing. We are back to the point where reading a teleprompter for a half hour or so is supposed to right all wrongs and cure all ills. How sad and how unfortunate for the country.
If Obama actually had a plan, he could release it in detail now so that the country could begin to move forward. Why wait a month? There is only one reason: the audience is bigger in September when fewer folks are on vacation. But the unemployed still have to struggle to get by. The people barely making ends meet have to pay for their daily needs. The businesses that need a boost are limping along and some may die in the interim. but Obama is going to wait for a month. That's right! OBAMA IS GOING TO WAIT FOR A MONTH TO DO WHAT HE SHOULD HAVE DONE A YEAR AGO! After all, why should the president of the United States worry about America and Americans when he could worry instead about his own re-election.
Obama should be ashamed, but he does not even realize that essential truth.
