Yesterday, I wrote about the lunacy of the White House spokesman announcing that there was no threat of a double dip recession. Only a moron or a liar could say that. Today, the same view was repeated by, of all people, Paul Krugman of the New York Times. Writing on his blog in a piece called "Hope is not a plan", Krugman takes Obama to task for looking at the economy through rose colored glasses for the last three years. He recalls the "summer of recovery" that Obama proclaimed only to see lackluster economic performance that indicated anything but recovery. Krugman ends by saying,"Spin is part of politics. But sometimes you have to know when to stop."
Obama needs to move to a reality based policy. Americans need to know that they have a leader who at least understands what is really happening. I do not hold out much hope for this. Obama has got to go!
