Since things around the globe are so peaceful these days, it is not surprising that the USA has stepped forward immediately to condemn a major new threat to world peace. The Obama Administration which has not yet managed to forcefully condemn the killing of about 2500 protesters by the government of Syria has, however, come forth with a full throated condemnation of the approval of building permits in Israel. That's right, the Israelis actually had the nerve to approve building permits for just over 3200 apartments in Jerusalem. According to the State Department, "Unilateral actions by the Israelis or Palestinians that appear to prejudice the outcome of the negotiations are counterproductive. These types of constructions are illegitimate and not in the best interest of getting back to negotiations."
Can you believe it? The State Department is running to condemn Israel for building homes in Jerusalem, Israel's capital. Apparently, the Obamacrats think that no new construction should be allowed in this city of three quarters of a million people. Simply put, the Obamacrats have lost their minds. What country in the world would ever agree that construction of new homes in its capital is a threat to peace? Why is it that building homes merits instant condemnation but killing civilians in Syria can go on for months before anything is said?
Obama has said he is "leading from behind". Maybe that should be amended to "leading from the insane asylum".
