More and more means less and less

President Obama spoke again last night about the debt downgrade and the market turmoil in the USA. Of course, the occassion was yet another fund raiser for his re-election campaign. It seems as if his constant refrain about how we need to raise revenue has morphed into a need to raise campaign cash. The speech was remarkable for what Obama said. As reported by Reuters, Obama's main point was that "he inherited many of the country's problems with high debt and deficits when he entered the White House". That's right, Obama is campaigning against George Bush. Great! The country is going down the drain and Obama's response is "it wasn't my fault". Obama is the perpetual eight-year-old caught stealing cookies from the cookie jar who offers the excuse that George did it first.

I cannot speak for anyone else, but I am damn tired of this nonsense. America deserves a leader. America deserves a president who has ideas of what ought to be done. The ideas may or may not be correct. The country can debate them and decide how to proceed. But, the country needs a president who at least offers solutions. Obama at this point is bankrupt, devoid of solutions to any crisis. The debt debate? Obama never even offered a solution. Instead we get told by his spokesman that he has a secret plan as to how to proceed. Really? Lowering unemployment? Obama has no new solution and his old ones did not work. Increasing economic growth? Obama again offers nothing. Increasing energy independence? Obama actively takes steps that reduce American oil production and makes things worse. The Syrian slaughter? Obama does not even have the conviction to remove the US ambassador like those great countries Kuwait and Bahrain that have done so. Libya? Obama lets US force continue to participate in fighting but there is no plan to win, indeed, no plan to end the conflict at all. Afghanistan? Brave American soldiers are killed and maimed, but Obama's plans are all political, not millitary. He is running the war in the way that will best serve his re-election campaign. No positige solutions for the USA. No, he says, we must do what is best for Barack Obama. The environment? Steps that could produce cleaner air and water while actually creating new American jobs get ignored. Instead, Obama says and does nothing in public. In the shadows, the EPA takes steps that will kill more jobs and harm the economy.

The list actually goes one, but you get the picture.

OBAMA HAS GOT TO GO!
