One of the most enduring bits of nonsense that came out of president Obama's mouth during the last campaign was his claim that he would bring the country together. Remember, there are no red states or blue states, only the United States? How about all the claims that Obama would bring the races and religions together by being the first African American to hold the presidency?
So now here we are three plus years later, and we can all see just how hollow these claims were. In the field of race relations, Obama has done essentially nothing since he jumped to the conclusion that the Cambridge Massachusetts police must have acted with racial animus when they arrested Obama's friend, Harvard professor Skip Gates for refusing their direction during an attempt to thwart a robbery. Obama later had to eat his words and hold the "beer summit" in an attempt to mend fences. Well how abouot religious tolerance? Nothing good to report there either. For example, just yesterday in Bergen County New Jersey, there was a firebombing of a synagogue, the fourth such anti-semitic attack in that county in the last 30 days. I do not know about you, but I do not recall attacks like these years ago. Maybe I missed them, but either way, things are not good now.
