How Slanted Can it Get?

In an interesting analysis, the Media Research Center looked at the network news . coverage of Romney's recent foreign trip and compared it to the coverage of Obama's similar trip in 2008. Two things stood out. First, Obama got twice as much coverage as Romney during the trip 92 minutes to 54 minutes. Second, 86% of the Romney stories were negative while 100% of the Obama stories were positive. In other words, the mainstream media did what it could to promote Obama in 2008 and to hurt Romney in 2012. If anyone had any doubt about this, consider this: the endorsement of Romney by Lech Walensa, the former president of Poland and leader of Solidarity got less coverage than a statement by a Romney staffer telling a reporter screaming out questions at a solemn ceremony at the tomb of the Polish unknown soldier to "kiss his ass" and shut up. What do you think is more important; the views of a hero and freedom fighter who is the father of the free Polish state or the way that a staffer asked a reporter who had gone beyond the bounds of propriety to tone it down?

Hopefully, by now, the American people realize that the press is in the tank for Obama.
