Remember the scandal at the VA system? You know, the one in which veterans were made to wait many months for medical appointments while the administrators who ran the system used phony records to show there was no problem? That was around 18 months ago. Once the story broke, Congress held hearings and passed legislation that among other things gave the administration billions of more dollars to fix the problem.
Given that there has now been over a year to make the "fix", it seems worthwhile to take a new look at conditions at the VA hospitals. Sadly, although the cash has been spent, there is little, if any, improvement in the long waits forced on veterans.
Why is it that every time the Obama government tries to do something, it fails?
