Last week, Bill Clinton said that he would continue to give speeches for which he gets paid enormous amounts because, as he put it, "I have to pay our bills." Tonight, Hillary Clinton filed a report with the Federal Election Commission which is required of all candidates that discloses how much she and Bill have been paid for speeches in the last year. Are you ready for this? Bill and Hillary earned twenty-five million dollars for speeches since the beginning of 2014. On top of that Hillary also got another 5 million bucks for her book "Hard Choices" which didn't even sell well.
Let's put that in context. Twenty five million dollars for roughly 75 speeches needs to be compared to what the average American family earns. For giving these speeches, the Clintons earned in maybe 100 hours at most what an average American family would earn in 500 years of work.
But Bill Clinton still says he has to keep talking to pay the bills. Is he kidding? How does he have the nerve to say things like this? Just how stupid does he think the average American is?
The truth is that neither Bill nor Hillary has any idea what life is like for the average American family.
