There is a group called the salute heroes project that provides help to American veterans wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. Right now, they are raising funds to help the families of these veterans buy dinner for Thanksgiving. Sadly, this help is needed since, among other things, there is often a delay of six months or more in the government starting veteran's disability benefits.
