More bumps in the road to recovery

Earlier today, I wrote about the nonsensical description by the White House of today's awful unemployment stats a "bumps in the road to recovery." in that post, I outlined six things that the president could do immediately to increase growth and help lower unemployment. Now it is time to look at the other side of the coin: Let's review president Obama's latest proposals for increasing economic growth and lowering unemployment. I am not talking here about general statements in speeches, but rather about those specific plans that Obama is pushing to help the economy. We will deal with each in turn. Here is the first:

1) Uh, there really isn't anything to put here.

That's right. Obama has no new program to increase growth and lower unemployment. He had the stimulus which we all know failed miserably. That's it. Nothing else. Nada, zip, zilch.

Don't the American people deserve a president with some ideas as to how to help rescue a sinking economy? It is not that hard to come up with such plans. Obama does not even need congressional approval for the whole package. But Obama instead plays golf, takes trips and raises money for his campaign. Can't he find any time in the day to consider the plight of the American worker?
