Immigration -- Too Important to Rush

The Daily Caller is reporting that senate Democrats plan to rush their immigration bill through to a vote in the week after the Easter recess.  That seems quite a terrible idea.  Right now, there is no immigration bill. There have been no hearings held to discuss it.  The public does not know what is in the immigration plan.  Indeed, most of the senators have no idea what the plan contains.

Immigration reform is an extremely important issue.  America deserves to have a chance to understand what is planned before the bill is actually passed.  We already have seen what happens when a 2000 page bill gets rushed through without anyone having a chance to actually understand what it says.  There is no need for this to happen again.
