A New Low Even For Hillary

Last night, at the Democrat debate, Hillary Clinton was finally asked about Benghazi.  Specific focus was on Hillary's telling the families of the victims of the assault that the attack was the result of a youtube video that had riled up the people in Libya.  Jorge Ramos, the moderator, showed a video of Patricia Smith, mother of victim (and hero) Sean Smith, stating that Hillary had told her that the video was at fault when she knew that it was a terrorist attack.  Ramos then pointed out the email that Hillary had sent to her daughter on the night of the attack telling Chelsea that the attack had been by an al Qaeda affiliated terror group.  Ramos then asked Hillary if she had lied to the victims' families.

The response by Clinton is astounding.  First, she pointed out that Smith must be very upset, but Hillary then denied telling Smith that the video was the cause of the attack.  Then Hillary went on to blame "the fog of war", and she concluded by telling us that "the video did play a role" in the attack.

Get it?  Pat Smith, mother of one of the victims is lying when she says that Hillary told her that the video was the cause, but the video really was the cause, in part.  That's what Hillary now says.

This is an appalling lie.  We all know that the video played no role in the attack; the attack was planned for the anniversary of 9-11 and had nothing to do with a youtube video that no one had seen.  (The video had fewer than 200 hits as of the time of the attack, so obviously, the people in Libya had not seen it.)  Hillary herself has admitted this in the past.  Now, suddenly, when confronted for the first time with the video of Pat Smith reporting what Hillary had told her over the coffin of Smith's son, Hillary went to her usual remedy:  she just lied and lied and lied.  The video played a role?  REALLY?

Look, every one of the families present at the airbase where the dead victims of Benghazi were returned have confirmed Pat Smith's story.  Each family says that Hillary told them the attack was the result of the video even though it was not.  Now, when someone in the media finally got that question in front of Hillary, she lied and claimed that she said no such thing.  Then for good measure, she lied again and claimed that the video played a role.

Maybe someone should ask Hillary why, if the video did play a role, she denies telling that to the families.

Hillary Clinton is a pathological liar.  There really is no question about it.
