The Media Mentality

One big news item today is that The Wounded Warrior Project fired its top officials because they let the cost of administration rise to almost half of the funds raised by the charity.  The media, particularly CBS, is in a frenzy because it was a CBS media report on the charity that started the whole story rolling.

Clearly, it's not a good thing for a charity to spend almost 50% on administration.  I think we all can agree on that.  So here's the question:  the Clinton Family Foundation spent 82% on administration during 2014, the last year for which the records have been made public.  EIGHTY-TWO PERCENT!!!  A big portion of the 82% went to expenses of Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton.  But in the media, when the Wounded Warrior Project spends just under 50% on administration, it's a scandal.  When the Clinton Foundation spends 82% on administration including personal expenses for the Clintons, it's no big deal.

Look, the simple truth is that the Clinton Family Foundation looks like a way for the Clintons to raise campaign cash or to sell influence while getting the donors a tax deduction as well.  There ought to be an FBI investigation here as well as the one into Hillary's misdeeds regarding handling classified information.  How can such a person be the leading Democrat candidate for president?
