The annual California Democrat convention is happening this weekend. There's not much of importance that will come out of that gathering. The main focus as of now is whether or not the delegates will endorse some extremely anti-Semitic resolutions that have been put forth for a vote. Here's how Real Clear Politics summarized one: The "resolution accuses Israel of willfully 'aligning with the virulent Islamophobia' of white supremacist groups, including “Christian fundamentalist and ultra-right groups' in the U.S., and it indirectly links that alliance to the 2018 massacre of 11 congregants at a Pittsburgh synagogue." No sane person would claim that the state of Israel was part of a group that led to the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. It's just the left's anti-Semitism run amok.
According to reports, there are not sufficient votes to guarantee a defeat for the resolution, so the party leadership is going to try to table the matter in order to avoid public confirmation of the rampant anti-Semitism in the party.
