Thomas Friedman is a Fool -- Update

Two weeks ago, I wrote a post called Thomas Friedman is a Fool. The New York Times op-ed columnist had written another of his pieces praising the Chinese system of government as better than that of the USA. I had to call him on it. Now, however, Friedman has even outdone his last effort. Indeed, I no longer think Friedman a fool; he is a moron. Here is the first paragraph of Friedman's latest column:

The only question I have when it comes to President Obama and Israel is whether he is the most pro-Israel president in history or just one of the most.

Friedman is supposed to be intelligent, but he has chosen to ignore reality. No one who paid attention to the actual facts could find Obama to be pro-Israel. But then, of course, I read the rest of Friedman's column and it became clear. Friedman says that Obama is pro-Israel because Obama has defined a nuclear Iran as a problem for the world. What's next? maybe Friedman will write how Obama is the most pro-environment president because he says pollution is bad. Or how about defining Obama as the most pro-education president in history because he says education is good. Maybe Friedman could call Obama the most pro-sex president in history because he called Sandra Fluke who wants Georgetown Law School to provide free birth control for students. By Friedman's reasoning (or lack of reasoning), I guess I can become the nicest person in the world if I say "Good Morning" to the next person I meet.

The truth is that everyone who has considered the prospect of Iranian nuclear weapons for the last 15 years has considered it a problem for the world. These people include the king of Saudi Arabia (the most pro-Israel Arab king in the world?), Vladimir Putin (the most pro-Israel anti-semitic Russian president in the world?), George Bush (the most pro-Israel president in history -- oh wait that post is already taken) and the leadership of al Qaeda (the most pro-Israel Islamic terrorist in the world). Everybody other than the Shiite leadership in Iran and a few allies consider an Iranian bomb a problem for the world. None of them become pro-Israeli as a result of that position. They simply deserve to be considered sane.

Friedmans views are really moronic.
