Today in Charlotte, Democrat national chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz to a group of delegates in an open session this: “We know, and I’ve heard no less than Ambassador Michael Oren say this, that what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel.”
Within two hours, the Israeli embassy issued the a statement denying that there is any truth to the statement by Wasserman Schultz. Here is the key text:
I categorically deny that I ever characterized Republican policies as harmful to Israel. Bipartisan support is a paramount national interest for Israel, and we have great friends on both sides of the aisle.
After a few days of hearing from the Democrats how Republicans lie, it is nice to see a reality check from no less eminent source than the Israeli ambassador. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a liar. There now can be no doubt.
