Bashing the Wealthy -- Obama Style

Most of you have probably heard by now that the White House announced that the centerpiece of president Obama's State of the Union Address will be a serious discussion of income inequality.  We are to be treated to a major attack by Obama on the rich folks who gather up all the growth in the economy to spend on themselves.  I have written before about the insanity of Obama complaining about a situation that his policies have made much, much worse than ever before.  It is as if someone spent five years spray painting building around his city and then started a public campaign to denounce graffiti.  Actually, since Obama's policies continue to drive income inequality ever higher, Obama's speech is actually worse than the graffiti example I used.  At least the graffiti culprit is not continuing to spray paint while he makes speeches against the practice.  Today, however, I want to discuss the staggeringly hypocrisy of Obama in making this speech.  The news today brings word that on just one weekend in the last year, Obama, his wife and vice president Biden cost the taxpayers almost half a million dollars for short vacations.  Obama flew to Florida for two days of golf, while both Michelle and Biden flew to Colorado for some skiing.  Just imagine a three day, two night vacation for yourself that cost half a million dollars.  How about a weekend vacation that cost only 1% as much or $5000.  It would be posh for sure even at that tiny percentage of what Obama spent.

Obama is perhaps the best example in America of a rich person (with taxpayers' money) who spends lavishly on himself without thinking of others.  Now we all have to hear a hypocritical lecture from the wastrel in chief about income inequality.  Why can't he spend some time working to try to get middle America more jobs and income and ignore the nonsense about hurting those who have too much?  That might actually help someone (and we can't have that now, can we?).
