Funniest Headline of the Day

Every so often, there is an article in the media which crystalizes hypocrisy in such perfect way that the result can only be described as hilarious.  Today CNN brings us such an article.  Sally Kohn wrote a piece headlined, "We Need the Full Truth From Chris Christie".

For those of you who do not know who Sally Kohn is, let me explain.  Kohn is a Democrat/Liberal talking head who is never at a loss for words when a good talking point is available.  She writes for CNN, because she was dumped by Fox News where I first saw her.  Kohn is well spoken and projects well on the television.  Her problem, however, was that she just pumped out talking points without any attempt to deal with actual facts.  One night I saw her as a panelist on Special Report, the Fox News main evening news show.  The panel on Special Report is well known for avoiding the usual TV practice of pundits who talk past each other spouting talking points (think about Crossfire on CNN -- in the unlikely event that you have actually seen that show).  It was Kohn's debut on Special Report, a major step up in her profile on Fox.  In a discussion of the federal budget, Kohn announced that president Obama was a budget cutter and a deficit hawk.  The other panelists and Bret Baier, the host, looked at her in disbelief.  There certainly are nuances that one could discuss in the Obama budget policies, but no one could ever honestly say that Obama was a budget cutter or a deficit hawk.  After all, Obama had raised spending by about 30% in his first year in office and had run up by far the largest deficits in history.  The reaction was so intense to Kohn's statements, that her first appearance on Special Report was also her last.  Indeed, not long after that night, Kohn was gone from Fox and ended up mostly appearing on MSNBC.

So what we have hear is more than the pot calling the kettle black.  This is the nuclear bomb calling the firecracker dangerous.  It is dysentery calling acid indigestion uncomfortable.  It is president Obama calling president Bush incompetent.
