In Georgia, the Democrats have been accusing the state of "voter suppression". This is an old chestnut, but it is useful this year for the Dems because the GOP candidate for governor is currently the Secretary of State, the official in charge of voter registration and elections. In the last week, it has been reported that the state Democrat organization attempted to hack into the Georgia voter registration database. In response, the Dems trotted out their claims of "voter suppression".
All of this is old news. What's not old news, though, is a rather funny story in the media this morning. It seems that the Dems ran a major voter registration drive through a variety of groups. One group gathered a large number of new registrations, but forgot to file the paperwork with the Secretary of State's office. As a result, all those people are NOT registered to vote. No doubt, the Dems will scream voter suppression, but this time, in fairness, it's the Dems who clearly are suppressing the vote.
