I just happened to see an excerpt from MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell in which he spoke about how President Trump's rhetoric encouraged the actions of the Nazi who shot and killed many Jews at a synagogue in Pittsburgh. It was from his show a few days ago.
There is no appropriate words to describe what O'Donnell had to say other than "lies" and "disgusting". O'Donnell didn't mention that the shooter had announced his hatred for Trump. No, O'Donnell made the Nazi into a Trump follower. It was a shameful thing to do.
I know that we're in the last week before the elections. Nevertheless, for someone like O'Donnell to falsely accuse the President of encouraging mass murder of Jews (or of anyone else) is going way to far. The left may think that they can do or say anything if it might help them in their political battles. For example, my own state's senior senator Richard Blumenthal seems constantly to lie about anything and everything if there's a political advantage to be gained. Still, there are certain norms of civilized behavior that shouldn't be violated. O'Donnell should apologize for his lie and, if he doesn't, he should be fired by MSNBC.
