Senator Joe Manchin of WVa was just re-elected by a small margin the other day. During the campaign, he pretended to be a moderate and not just another typical Democrat liberal. Well now the election is over and he won, so what happens? Manchin has gone back to normal.
Today, Manchin announced that he thought the USA was on the verge of a "constitutional crisis" because the President is replacing his attorney general. Got it? Sessions resigned at the President's request. No new Attorney General has yet been named, although Sessions chief of staff was named Acting Attorney General. But hey, this could affect the Mueller probe. That's enough. We don't need something actually to happen; Manchin is jumping to a full blown constitutional crisis just because something might happen. Just imagine that you were walking down the street past a bank. The police come and arrest you because you could go into the bank and rob it. You did nothing, but it doesn't matter. That's the same cockeyed logic that Manchin is now using.
I know that during the campaign, Trump tried very hard to help the GOP candidate defeat Manchin. I suppose this is Manchin's way of trying to hit back. Still, it doesn't matter. It's a disgrace.
