Can someone answer this question

In my previous post, I pointed out how both the Attorney General and the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security refuse to characterize the times Square bombing as a terrorist attack by a radical Islamic group. Is there anyone out there who can understand how this refusal to state the truth enhances the security of the USA? I would love to hear someone's views on this. Personally, I think the Obamacrats' position makes no sense at all.
