Has Obama awoken?

Today brings news that President Obama is sending 1200 troops to the border in Arizona and will seek an additional 500 million dollars for border security measures. Could it be that Obama has awoken to the dismal state of border security? One would hope so. But if that is the case, one would expect that Obama would also apologize to the people of Arizona and tell them that he will now do his job and seal the border. Indeed, he might use that promise as an excuse to call for the repeal of the Arizona immigration law. Such a result would protect the border and get rid of the law Obama dislikes.
