In today's article in the New York Times about president Obama stopping the EPA from imposing new rules regarding ozone levels, there is a great deal of unintentional humor. To me, the funniest is this: The Times points out that EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson had said that strengthening the ozone rules "was one of the most important regulatory initiatives she would handle during her tenure" at EPA. Obama, of course, overturned all of her work. the Times, however, quotes Obama as "reiterating his commitment to environmental concerns" and saying that "his commitment to the work of the agency was unwavering.”
John Kerry got into trouble when he said he was for a bill before he was against it. Now Obama has raised this to a higher level. Obama is for the EPA rule at the very same time that he is against it. Gimme a break!
