Mitt Romney's rivals for the GOP nomination (now known officially as "Three No Trump") must be wondering who in the Romney campaign scheduled the endorsement from The Donald. First, Romney spends two days explaining how he could say that he does not care about poor people and then mega-billionaire Trump shows up with an endorsement. That move really showed Romney's appeal to the common man!
I realize that the Romney campaign probably could not control Trump, but at least, they could have extended the schedule by a day or two. That would have allowed some time for other events to intervene between the "I don't care about the poor" remark and the Trump endorsement. After all, the Trump endorsement is not so important that it has to take precedence over everything. A recent poll found that 10% of those questioned said that an endorsement from the Donald would make them more likely to vote for a candidate, but 27% said that Trump's backing would make them less likely to support the candidate. With all that considered, it seems to me that Romney's campaign manager must be a total Mittwit.
