There is a fascinating report from Cause of Action that was released late last week. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Cause of Action, it is nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that fights government waste and corruption through public education. In the report, Cause of Action reviewed the political contributions of the companies that received grants and loans through the Obama-favored green energy initiatives. According to public records, 95% of the companies that got loans or grants made political contributions. When all comparably sized companies are considered, the level of political contributions is only 31% according to the same records. Simply put, this data makes clear that the green energy field is a "pay to play" industry. Nobody gets a loan or grant from the Obamacrats without first coughing up campaign dough. It makes clear that the green in green energy refers to the campaign cash.
