Even The State Department Now Admits the Truth

This afternoon, the spokesman for the state department admitted that the Iran nuclear deal may have emboldened Iran to take harsher positions against the USA.  The admission came after weeks of Iran's ships harassing US navy vessels in the straits of Hormuz, a series of missile launches by the Iranians in violation of UN resolutions, and many other aggressive actions by the Iranians against the USA and its allies.  When the nuclear deal was signed, of course, president Obama argued that it would lead to a new era of cooperation with Iran.  If we resolved the nuclear deal, Obama told us, we would see a much more rational and friendly Iran.  That promise turned out to be about as accurate as Obama's promises on Obamacare.

And for those who argue that what is happening is just low level stuff, try considering how Iran has acted in connection with the visit of the Iranian president to New York.  Iran's political leader is in NYC for the UN General Assembly.  The State Department tried to arrange a meeting between the Iranian president and president Obama.  The Iranians refused!  Think about that.  The Iranian president comes to the USA but refuses to meet with Obama.

The truth is that many people warned ahead of time that the Iran nuclear deal would embolden the Iranians and make them much harder to deal with.  That is exactly what is happening now.  It is beyond bizarre that president Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry could so misunderstand the effect of the nuclear deal.
