The Health Records Reveal

Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump released health records or statements today.  We learned a little, but not what we really needed to know.

First, what we learned:  For Trump, he's a bit overweight and he takes a statin to reduce his cholesterol.  Otherwise, he is in good health.  For Clinton, in 2016 she had an ear infection and bronchitis which turned into pneumonia.  She is being treated with levaquin antibiotics and is doing well.  There were a few other details about these things as well.

Second, what we did not learn:  There was no explanation of why Clinton passed out last Sunday.  There was no discussion of prior times when Hillary passed out.  Both Bill and Hillary Clinton admitted that she had fainted numerous times in the past.  Why did that happen?  We still don't know.  More than anything else, that is the information that we needed to hear.  Pneumonia can be dangerous, but once treated it goes away.  Consistent difficulty with fainting is another matter.  Indeed, the Clinton's silence on this subject makes me wonder what the problem actually is and why they decided to keep this secret.

For Trump, I'm not sure if there is anything that we don't know aside from his medical history.  What got released were the results of his recent physical exam.  If he had any problems in the past, we would not get that from these results.  Of course, unlike Hillary, Trump has no indication of ongoing or past problems.

It's a good thing that both sides released these records.  Now we just need a further explanation from Hillary and her doctors about why she has a fainting problem.
