Suspect in Bombings Captured

Police in Linden, NJ captured the suspect sought in the NY/NJ bombings of the last few days earlier this morning.  Ahmad Khan Rahami was sleeping on the floor in the hall of a building when a policeman approached him.  When the officer recognized Rahami as the wanted suspect, Rahami pulled a gun and shot the officer in the abdomen.  Fortunately, the officer was wearing a protective vest and was not hurt.  Rahami fled the scene and began firing randomly at people in the area.  Police surrounded him and, after a gun battle, took him into custody.  Rahami was shot in the process, but his wounds are not thought to be serious.

For those who are unfamiliar with Linden, NJ, it is the home of one of the largest oil refineries in the USA.  If Rahami had used a bomb to attack that refinery, the results could have been cataclysmic.  We don't know if that was the reason for his presence in that town or if it is just a coincidence.  The key, however, is that he is in custody.

We also don't know if there are more members of the terror cell still at large.  There could be more bombings coming in the area.  Let's pray that there are not.
UPDATE:  CBS is now reporting that the FBI is seeking the arrest of two more individuals seen handling at least one of the bombs on surveillance tapes.  This thing may be far from over.
