The Twisted Logic Used by Obama and Clinton

Consider these two disputes.  South Sudan was formed when it broke away from the country of Sudan in an effort to end decades of civil war between the northern part of the country which is Arab and Moslem and the southern part of the country which is black and Christian.  Fighting did not end with secession, however.  There are still Moslems fighting Christians in that nation.  In Iraq, there is ongoing violence even besides the fight against ISIS.  On one side are the Shiite Moslems who are mostly in the south and around Baghdad.  On the other side are the Sunnis who are in the central and northwestern parts of the county.  In the northeast, there are also millions of Kurds who pretty much operate as a separate country at this point.  Let's suppose that there were a peace plan for South Sudan which required all Moslems to leave and move to Sudan itself or else to a small section of South Sudan set aside for them.  Let's suppose also that there were a peace plan for Iraq that required all Sunnis to move to designated areas in the northwest, all Kurds to move into the current Kurdistan and all Shiites to move into current Shiite majority areas.  These plans would require hundreds of thousands or millions of people to leave their homes and be ousted.  It would be ethnic cleansing on a massive scale.  There is no other way to describe that result.  It is ethnic cleansing.  Even if it has the goal of peace, it is still ethnic cleansing.

Think about that for a moment.  Do you agree that this is ethnic cleansing?  If so, could the USA ever support such a plan?  Would we, as a nation, actually stand up and require ethnic cleansing?  I hope not.

Now let's change the players for a moment.  The president of the Palestinian Authority said that he would never agree to the establishment of a Palestinian state unless all Jews were expelled from it.  the prime minister of Israel responded yesterday and said that what the Palestinians were calling for was unacceptable ethnic cleansing.  Jews have lived in these areas for thousands of years, and they cannot and will not be thrown out in any peace plan.  So what was the response from the official State Department spokesman?  The spokesman called Israeli prime minister Netanyahu's remarks "inappropriate and unhelpful."  That doesn't really do it justice.  Obama's state department said that Israel's stand against ethnic cleansing was
INAPPROPRIATE AND UNHELPFUL!!!

Let's be clear what is at issue here.  In the old city of Jerusalem, there is a section called "The Jewish Quarter".  It is one of four sections in that ancient city.  It has been inhabited by Jews for a great many centuries.  The Palestinians demand that the old city of Jerusalem be part of their state.  That means that after centuries, the Jews of the Jewish Quarter of the old city would be required to leave.  That is ethnic cleansing.  There are no two ways about it.  When Israel says it won't happen, Obama actually calls that response inappropriate and unhelpful.

It is amazing just how anti-Israeli Obama is.  Since Hillary Clinton endorses Obama's policies on Israel, she shares the blame for this nonsense too.
