Real Clear Politics gives a running ranking on expected outcomes for every race for governor, senator and congressman. In the last week, they made changes to 13 House seats that are worth mentioning. One seat went from Toss Up to Leans Dem. One seat went from Leans GOP to Toss Up. Eleven seats went from Toss Up to Leans GOP. There was one Senate change which took a seat from Toss Up to Leans GOP. The governors' races stayed unchanged. This is a big move towards the GOP and the changes are important.
First, essentially all of these changes pertain to races that were rated as a Toss Up. These are the seats where one party or the other will win control of the House. Moving a net ten seats out of this category and into Leans GOP is very significant. It may be the confirmation that the Kavanaugh hearings are hurting Democrats rather than helping them as they hoped. Americans don't like "crazy" coming from Washington.
Second, the senate race that moved is Texas where RCP recognized that the race is moving towards Cruz in a big way. (The latest poll out last night gave Cruz a 13 point lead.) For all the hoopla for Beto O'Rourke, he is fading away as usually happens in Texas for a Democrat.
