Connecticut 4 -- sure enough

Earlier, I wrote about the recent poll regarding Connecticut conressional district 5 that showed the Republican in the lead. Now there is a poll out for Connecticut 4. That poll shows congressman Jim Himes, the Democrat up by 2% over Dan Debicella, the Republican (49 to 47). In other words, the race is too close to call and Himes is not over 50%. This is bad news for Himes. He is clearly in trouble, although he well may still pull it out. Hopefully, as the district learns more about Debicella, Himes will fade into the dust and lose. Since Himes is my Congressman, I feel very strongly about this race. Himes claims that he is "independent", but he has been a reliable vote for the Obama/Pelosi agenda. Himes' idea of independence has been that he votes against Pelosi on items like renaming post offices. To make matters worse, Himes is ubiquitous whenever it is time to claim credit for anything. they used to say that the most dangerous place in Washington was between Chuck Schumer and a TV camera, but with Himes in Washington, Shumer now has someone who will give him a run for his money.
