Nasty Jerry Brown

for the last ten days the governor's race in California has been distracted with the issue of Meg Whitman's former housekeeper's immigration status. Whitman hired her through an agency and got copies of her driver's license and social security card at the hiring. The housekeeper also signed the I-9 forms in which the employee swears under oath to be a legal resident. Years later when Whitman learned that the housekeeper was an illegal, she fired her. Brown's old friend attorney Gloria Allred came forward ten days ago with the story and claimed that Whitman had mistreated the housekeeper. Of course, Whitman paid the housekeeper $23 per hour, a job that many unemployed Californians would love to have -- not exactly mistreatment. By doing this, Allred placed the housekeeper in danger of being deported. Since it is likely that the Brown camp was involved in Allred's escapade, that means that Brown thought his election to governor was more important than the housekeepers future. Brown wanted to call Whitman a hypocrite for hiring an illegal.

Today, the other shoe dropped. the head of the California police union released a tape on which Brown is heard in a conversation in which Whitman is called a "whore" for supposedly making a deal with the police union for their support. Mr. nasty strikes again. Why is it that Whitman gets called a whore? She is making a deal with the union for its support. of course, Brown is on the phone trying to do the exact same thing. Brown thinks it is ok for him to do something, but if Whitman does the same thing, she is a "whore".

The truth is that Brown is a self-centered, self-important louse. Californians would do well to remember that when they vote in November.
