The supposed surge of the Democrats continues to be exposed as non-existent. Today's latest evidence comes from the new Rasmussen poll in the Washington Senate race. Democrat incumbent Patty Murray is down 49 to 46 to Republican Dino Rossi. Last week, the same poll showed a 1% Rossi lead after weeks of Murray being ahead. This is one of thos races that was used as an indicator that things were looking up for the Democrats. Only two weeks ago, we were all being told by the liberal pundits that Murray was pulling away from Rossi and that the world was returning to normal. Apparently not so! For what it is worth, there is another poll out from AAF that questioned voters at the end of last week and found Rossi in the lead by 6%. AAF is a Republican pollster, so the numbers may overstate Rossi's strength, but they certainly show a trend together with Rasmussen. Hopefully, Murray can put on her tennis shoes and leave Washington DC to go home to Washington state.
