I have been following the Real Clear Politics rankings on the house races to look for evidence that the Democrats are moving up in the polls as has been claimed in the media and by the DNC. Just today, the ratings were changed on six more house races based upon new polling. All six of the changes went away from the Democrats and towards the Republicans. This means that since the appearance of those stories in the main stream media announcing that the races were tightening as the Democrats move up, there have been 31 changes to ratings in house seats according to RCP. Of these 31 changes, 30 have been movement towards the Republicans and away from the Democrats. The only change towards the Democrats was one seat that went from Likely GOP to leans GOP.
I think it is safe to say that the Democrats' purported surge was at best wishful thinking by the media and the DNC and, at worst, just a blatant lie.
