If there was any doubt that the word has gone out from the White House to the Obama toadies in the media to attack the Supreme Court, it should now be gone. I wrote earlier today about the attack by Maureen Dowd at the New York Times. Now Paul Begala has weighed in. Begala is a Democrat pol who masquerades as an "analyst" for the media where he slavishly follows the Obama line. Here is a small excerpt from today's hit piece in the Daily Beast on the Supreme Court:
"The oral arguments on the Affordable Care Act give us very little reason to have faith in the wisdom of the court. Some of the justices came off as smug, arrogant, and frighteningly detached from the realities of everyday life in America."
Begala's argument basically boils down to this: the Supreme Court cannot overturn Obamacare because there is a crisis with regard to health insurance in the USA. Begala also announces that he himself is a lawyer, as if to say that his arguments must be heeded. Sadly, however, Begala well knows that the Court has to look at the Constitution for guidance, not to conditions in the health care market. Begala is just pushing a hit pieace on the Supreme Court in order to reduce the blow when Obamacare falls. It was just those evil Republicans the left will say. In truth, however, it will be just the United States Constitution, a truth that the left cannot admit even to itself.
