I wrote earlier today about the truly nasty comment by Hilary Rosen, a media advisor to DNC Chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Hilary the snark complained that Ann Romney had "never worked a day in her life" despite Romney's raising five kids and despite Romney's suffering from multiple sclerosis for decades which left her bed-ridden a significant portion of the time. Rosen deserves the boot for her comments, and it seems that America agrees.
The Washington Post is running an on-line poll asking the following question:
Was Hilary Rosen out of line with her comments that Ann Romney "has never worked a day in her life."?
Keep in mind that this is the Washington Post, so the results are somewhat skewed to the left. Readership of the WaPo is significantly more liberal than America as a whole.
Here are the results: 96% of those responding have said that Rosen was out of line. That's right, I said 96% of respondents thought Rosen put her foot in her big mouth. Hurrah!! It is about time for these nasty lefty talking heads to learn that America does not buy their garbage. Criticizing sick people is not cool even if you support the Democrats. Criticizing mothers who raise their own kids is not right, even if you are, like Rosen, a prominent and politically connected Washington insider.
It amazes me that Rosen is the one giving media advice to the chair of the DNC. Actually, in view of the things that Wasserman Schultz has said, I am not amazed.
