Judicial Activism -- What is it? - 2

This afternoon, I commented on president Obama's discussion of the possibility that the Supreme Court will declare Obamacare unconstitutional. My focus was on the fact that Obama, as a professor of constitutional law, well knows that his objections to any Supreme Court action as judicial activism was ridiculously wrong. Others, however, have focused on a different angle: the possibility that Obama is either trying to pressure the court into voting to uphold the law or attempting to prepare the ground for a decision overturning the law. Either way, Obama's conduct is disgusting. Obama spent years learning the law and then teaching it. Respect for the institution of the Supreme Court should be part of his being. As president, Obama should also be doing what he can to improve the image of the federal government. Instead, he is threatening the Court with attack if it rules against him. Instead, Obama is slandering any justice with the temerity to oppose Obama's view. Indeed, Obama is trying to use the press to force a particular decision out of the court, something that is antithetical to an independent and unbiased judiciary.

Obama has got to go!!!
