Well Now It Just Got a Lot Worse -- Hilary Rosen is a Phony

When top adviser to the DNC Hilary Rosen first criticized Ann Romney because, as a woman who chose to stay at home to raise her children, she "had never worked a day in her life", the story was appalling. Romney, who has struggled with multiple sclerosis for decades, has nevertheless worked hard for her entire adult life, just not in the form that Rosen likes. When Ann Romney tweeted that she had chosen to work at home and that it was hard work indeed, Rosen snapped back in a rather nasty tweet that she had struggled to work both with her children and in a job. All this is old news, but here is the new stuff: The Daily Caller has a piece out today discussing what Hilary Rosen did earlier in her career. One section hit me as truly amazing:

Publicly available tax documents from 2002, obtained by TheDC, reveal that Rosen received a total compensation package of $2.8 million during her final year as CEO and President of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Rosen earned a salary of $2.65 million dollars for 40 hours of work per week to head the Washington lobby group. In addition, she received $141,512 in contributions to her benefits package from the RIAA that year as well.

That salary of nearly three million dollars was just for one year. Rosen "STRUGGLED" to both raise her kids and hold down a job on a salary of just under three million dollars. Rosen earned three million dollars a year, but she has the nerve to tell Ann Romney that Romney is out of touch with working women. Rosen earned three million dollars a year but she claims to understand the struggles of a single mother working as a waitress in Nevada. Rosen earned three million dollars per year (which, by the way is about eight times more than the President of the United States earns) but she "gets" the problems of the poor.

Give me a break! Rosen is a total phony. She is just another limosine liberal, a woman of great wealth who lives in the liberal bubble and who thinks she knows what is best for everyone else. The truth is that she would do well to just shut up.

On that front, it seems that Rosen is now being shut up by others. NBC first said that Rosen was going to be a guest on Meet the Press tomorrow. Then, Rosen pulled out of the appearance apparently after getting pressured by the Obama campaign to keep her head down and shut up.
